Founded in 1992, Dundas County Hospice offers a variety of services to  anyone suffering from a terminal or life-threatening illness. We support  our clients and their caregivers through all stages of their illness,  including grief and bereavement support after death. Our services  complement those that also exist in Dundas County.
All our services are free.
Anyone can make a referral to us, including healthcare and social  agencies, nurses, physicians, clergy, friends, the person who is ill or  their families, referral form.
The client must reside in Dundas County.
The Director of Client Services will visit with the client, and perhaps  with the person who made the referral, to determine eligibility based on  criteria set by Hospice Palliative Care Ontario. The DCS will suggest which of our services  will best benefit the client and their family.
Our primary goal is to help our clients maintain dignity, remain at home  as long as possible and die in the place of their choosing.
We do not have beds at our facility. We are a community Visiting  Hospice. Our staff and volunteers go out into the community and visit in  clients’ homes.
