Bereavement Support
Customized Bereavement packages are mailed or hand-delivered to family and/or primary caregiver when a client has died. Our staff can provide grief support on the phone or in person.
Monthly Grief and Bereavement Support meetings in a safe and confidential environment at the Hospice facility in Williamsburg. Volunteer facilitators are trained by Bereaved Families of Ontario. There is also one-on-one support available and we can refer to private, professional counselling. We also have a small library of support resources available for loan.
We also hold bereavement workshops during the year on a number of topics, such as Surviving the Holidays and Grief Walking the Labyrinth. These are advertised on our website, Facebook and in the community. Our Director of Client Services is available to speak with you to assist you in finding the specific information that you need.
You are free to join which ever group is more convenient for you, time-wise.
Anyone can make a referral to us, including healthcare and social agencies, nurses, physicians, clergy, friends, the person who is ill or their families, referral form.
