Complementary Therapies/Home Support

Comfort and Care Delivered to Your Door

At Dundas County Hospice, we believe that healing isn’t just about treating the illness — it’s about nurturing the whole person. That’s why we offer in-home complementary therapies at no cost to clients who are confined to their home or are bed-bound, bringing comfort, dignity, and compassionate care directly to them.

These therapies are provided by qualified professionals who understand the unique needs of individuals living with life-limiting illness. Each session is designed to ease discomfort, promote relaxation, and enhance overall well-being.

Available In-Home Therapies Include:

  • Foot Care
Gentle, hygienic foot care can reduce pain, prevent complications, and provide a sense of comfort and renewal — especially for those with limited mobility or circulation issues.

  • Meditation                                                                                    Meditation offers a gentle, grounding way to ease stress, calm the mind, and bring a sense of peace — even in the midst of illness or grief. Through simple breathing techniques and quiet reflection, individuals can find comfort, clarity, and emotional balance.

Hospice Home Support Program

We also offer light home support services, such as assisting with day-to-day tasks that are not currently covered by Ontario Health @Home.

To learn more about eligibility or request a referral for in-home support or therapy, please contact us.

Because comfort should come home, too.
